Barrett Elementary won the NASA Sports Challenge by creating a that will be played on the International Space Station later this Spring and students will have a chance to talk with astronauts while astronauts play the game.
Students created a game entitled “Save the World” which features teams gathering objects and building devices to save Earth from incoming meteorites.
“This one of a kind experience for our fifth grade NASA team,” said Project Discover specialist Allyson Greene. She added, “This was a fine example of working as a team and using what you learned to be innovative. Our game “Save The World” created an enriching experience for students that will make its mark almost 200 miles above our planet.” (via APS)
