Estimates of the number of children in the U.S. who suffer from mental illness range from 7.7 to 12.9 million. Of those, 70-80% do not receive services.
The purpose of this course is to increase awareness of mental health concerns in children. Learn the signs of the most frequently occurring childhood psychological disorders and how to communicate effectively with school and medical professionals about mental health concerns. This presentation will also suggest interventions for the home and increase your awareness of resources within the schools.
