Fourth of July at The Sugar Cube

Mini Snow Cones!

Stop by Saturday July 3rd & Sunday July 4th from 12pm to 6pm and The Sugar Cube will be giving away free (we love free) mini sno-cones in patriotic red, white & blue flavors.

Never been to this Old Town Alexandria delight? You can find them on 210 N Lee Street near the Overwood Restaurant.

We found this local wonderland about a year ago and it’s been our way of occasionally treating ourselves with sweets from their rainbow of jelly beans to the old school bba-Zabbas, Mallo Cups or BB Bats to artfully designed specialty confections.

This has become our default shopping spot for teachers. After trying to find the perfect gift multiple years over we always end up here and hearing the many thank you’s and raves from the recipients, we wonder why we didn’t just start and end our shopping here. I mean, you just can’t go wrong. They even wrap the chocolates in a cute little box with a pretty ribbon!

Kids Favorites: Strawberry Candy Belts & Chocolate Balls

Adult Favorites: Earl Grey Artisan Chocolate Truffle

Okay so can you bring the kids? YES!

This place will delight the whole family the kids get to have variety and see what a real candy shop is about and the adults can try some really savory items.

Be sure to say hi to the owners Kim and Alyssa Theodore. They’re always helpful and happy to share information and suggestions if you want them.  The biggest downfall to shopping here is that at some point you have to make a decision. Thankfully, the staff is always patient with us when the sugar craving darlings are along.

What others are saying about The Sugar Cube:

~ This place is the Rolls Royce of candy stores.
~ As if it wasn’t enough to have an amazing array of choices, the staff at the Sugar Cube are EXCEPTIONALLY kind and friendly.
~ A chocolate lover’s dream.

So head over this Saturday and Sunday. Support Local Business!
