Bike the Kids to School, then Bike Yourself to Work

Friday, May 21st is Bike to Work Day.

Arlington has been working hard to be one of the best places to bike in the Nation thanks to inciatives by Bike Arlington.

Since January, there have been programs developed and placed across the county to increase bike and pedestrian safety and encourage people to get out and ride on the new lanes and trails recently installed. We realized that in our neighborhood Walter Reed now has an entire lane that bicyclists can use! Show your support by riding bikes to drop your kids at school and then ride to work. What a great way to be an example.

Arlington will host three pit stops this year in Rosslyn, Ballston and Crystal City. It’s free to register and all participants will receive a t-shirt and can take part in fun demos and raffles while enjoying free food and music. Click HERE to find out more information and to register at your pitstop for a free t-shirt!

Here’s to health, eco friendly transportation and community!
