DC’s Art & Soul, a restaurant known for it’s Southern and East Coast mix & is hosting a cooking class. But not your usual cooking class, this one is for parents who want to give their kids the best in healthy baby cuisine.
Ryan Morgan, Executive Chef at Art & Soul, was raised in the Chesapeake Bay area and brings a local flavor to the restaurant. Chef Ryan has been assigned the new position of Dad and is diving into the role head first by making what else?? Baby food!
He’ll be teaching you new ways of introducing your own baby to flavors you wouldn’t have first thought of. Lavender… Cayenne? Not only will he experiment with flavor but he’ll show you how to ensure your child’s food has the appropriate nutrients, is economical & will make us aware of what’s really in our foods. Knowledge is power right?
The hour long class is scheduled for Saturday, March 21st at 11:00am and costs $35.00. Ten of those dollars will go to DC Safe Kitchen, a partnership between chef Art Smith, The Liaison Capitol Hill and the DC Fire and Rescue Squad.
