Since October 31st in Arlington doesn’t offer an overwhelming amount of activities for children this year, we thought we would give tell you about some fun, cheap and for the most part easy, costume ideas for your neighborhood Trick or Treating. Note there are a few events listed below.

Mans Best Friend
Halloween is not just for humans! Check out these fun photos of dogs in Halloween costumes. You might even come up with a great idea for your own dog’s costume.


  • Ballston Common Mall: 10/31 from 5 to 7pm. Free trick or treating bags and candy at Guest Services where you can then trick-or-treat at participating stores. Other offerings include free Halloween stickers, balloon animals, and face painting.
  • Halloween Campfire: 10/31, 7:30pm, Long Branch Nature Center. A fun evening with entertaining activities, which may include stories, special animal guests, games, songs and of course, treats like s’mores. RR, $, all ages.
