Last weekend, we took part in activities at Clarendon Day 2008 in Arlington. Weather was spotty but the event was certainly worth getting a little wet.
Here are some vendors we thought you would want to know about. More photos on Flickr.
LEFT NOODLE – RIGHT NOODLE
Left Noodle-Right Noodle is an after school educational enrichment company. LNRN creatively designs programs that inspire learning by exercising both sides of the brain as well as the 5 senses! My daughter Jade took one of their classes last week in her after-school program. She was thrilled to see them again at Clarendon Day. Thanks to Ms. Evans who was at both events and is quite the crowd pleaser. Check them out! They offer day camps too. Great for the working parent.
Potomac Overlook offers 70 acres of peaceful woodland. Potomac Overlook’s Nature Center houses displays and live animal exhibits. The Naturalist staff conducts programs on ecology, local natural history, Indian history and energy for schools, groups and the general public.

We really enjoyed meeting and talking with her. She’s a great addition to the area.

By the way, we loved your monkey fashions!
The guy’s from Convoy were amazing. They did their thing in the rain and literally put their lives at risk while skateboarding over ramps and other objects that were just incredible to watch these are talented you men.
What we would have liked to have seen… Girls! Where are the girls in this group? We know you’re out there. We fully expect to see you there next year.
Until then. Guys, you rocked it!
We met up with several dancers from The Center Dance Company in Arlington on Saturday. They were out looking adorable and promoting their performance of The Nutcracker to be held at the Thomas Jefferson Community Theatre in December. It looks like ticket sales have already begun so get ‘em while their HOT. Advance tickets reange from $17 – $25. You can purchase through their website or 703-778-3008.
Sharon White of Books for Growing Minds carries Usborne Books. We viewed the books on display and they were colorful, textured, well made and had something for everyone. You can purchase books online, host a book party throw a fundraiser for your organization. Lots of opportunities! Go have a peek.
Lovely art that we just couldn’t get enough of. This artist is out of Richmond but has her paintings and prints available online. If you missed her at Clarendon Day, and want to see her work in person we highly suggest you give her a visit next weekend,
October 4th at Art on the Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia.
Here’s just a sample of her work.
